I blinked...And then he was 2!

So our little GB hit the big #2 on Tuesday. All I can say or ask myself, is where have the last two years gone? Pfeiffer and I were just reminiscing on the past two years and how fast time has gone. It just seems like yesterday we were hanging out in the hospital waiting for the go ahead to go home. I must say though, being little GB's mom is the greatest honor that I could have asked for. He truly is amazing to me.

To celebrate his big day, Grandma Carolee took him to McDonald's for lunch. Little GB truly loves his Grandma. Every morning when she comes and picks him he just gets the biggest smile on his face. Sometimes I have to bribe him to do something I want him to do by saying that Grandma will be here to take you bye bye. As soon as he hears her name he jumps up and says: Grandma, bye bye? He loves spending time with her. I am thankful for the relationship that he has with her. (Griffen and his Grandma Carolee)

Later in the evening we had a little family party with pizza, ice-cream sandwich cake and cupcakes. Little GB loves being around his cousins and had a great time. He loved being the center of attention and having everyone watch him open his presents. He quickly got the hang of opening them. He got some awesome presents! We are truly blessed to have such wonderful family and friends!!
(His ice cream sandwich cake. Yum!!)

(Griffen wanting everyone to leave his M&M's alone. Sharing sure can be tough. :))

Hello to you Pfeifferhorn in China..

Okay this blog is dedicated to Pfeifferhorn who is away on business. Although he does not enjoy the travel part of his job, little GB and I certainly do appreciate his hard work and sacrifice for our family. I got word that Pfeifferhorn made it through his first typhoon. He said that majority of it did not fall where he is currently staying.

Little GB enjoyed spending the weekend with his Idaho cousins. He played extremely well well with everyone and he did not even need anytime to warm up to his buddies. His biggest problem was when mom would make him go to sleep. I'll post some pics of his time up in Boise when I get them.

Here are few random pictures I have taken in the last couple of days. I took a really cute picture of little GB really dirty. As much as it pains me to post it, (because I hate dirty.) he still looks prety cute. :)

I hope this blog finds you all well and happy and that your week is going smoothly.

Thanks again Pfeifferhorn for your hard work. We love and miss you!!

(What? He's dirty??)
(he is showing his muscles !)

Goodbye to you..Summer!

September is upon us and we have found ourselves back into the hectic world of reality. I was able to enjoy some extremely ENJOYABLE time off for a few weeks before fall semester started. I am now starting into my 3rd week and from here on out I’m going to be one very busy lady. I am official in the level II of the education program. A requirement for this level is to be in the elementary school 3 full days a week, plus class at night. So my weeks are pretty full, I am still working in at Wells Fargo bank two days as week, going to school two nights a week from 4:30-9:00, one on-line class, and my classroom requirement. I am feeling a bit of anxiety leaving little GB that much!! I am not sure I could do it, if I didn’t have the help from my family. Little GB loves going to Grandma and Grandpa’s house. He’s got them both wrapped around his finger, especially Grandpa’s. They are so cute together. I have the greatest family on earth. I just keep telling myself that I am near the finish line I just need to keep my head down and plow through it. Graduation is just 2 semesters (after this one) away. I know that finishing my degree is something that I need to do and my family will benefit from it. It will be rewarding when Little GB can say that both of his parents are college graduates! Yeah, that’s a nice thought. Speaking of Little GB. He had his first official wipeout on his bike yesterday. He did a number on his face. One of my friends asked “What happened to Little GB’s face? The treadmill?” Hee hee. I thought that was pretty funny. But nope no treadmill for him, just a nice dose of cement pie. He took it like a trooper though. He only cried for a few minutes. It didn’t look too bad, but after sleeping on it for a night it scabbed up pretty good. Here are a few pics: You might be wondering about the bandaid...well I think we are entering into the bandaid phase. He did not need a bandaid whatsoever, but I think having one on made him feel a bit better. Here is one of my favorite pictures of late. Little GB loves shoes, it doesn't matter if they are mine or his Dad's. Here are a few of him trying to get around in mine.

Idaho in August

Where oh where has my summer gone? I can not believe that September is lurking just around the corner. I am in denial that our summer is winding down at a very rapid pace. We all have had a busy summer. It has been filled with school, work, running, hiking, swimming, baseball games, walks, trips to the park, and our favorite: family time. My sister Ann's daughter, Peyton was baptized so we were able to venture on up to Idaho and enjoy some quality family time. My parents and brother Jed and his family also went up. Little GB was in heaven. He had so much fun playing with all of his cousins. He usually just tagged along and tried to keep up. He especially enjoyed playing with his little cousin Coop. Coop was extremely patient in sharing his toys and trying to teach little GB to share. They both had a great time. They are going to be best buddies for sure! From sun up to sun down little GB was on the go. There was so much to experience. Whether it was jumping on the trampoline, riding Coop's scooter, taking trips to the park, playing wiffle ball, hanging out on the 4 wheeler, nap times and meal times were somewhat of a nuisance. This picture is one of little GB's favorite things of Coops:
It was such a great time had by all! We need to figure out a way to live closer to one another. Here are a few pics of our great weekend:

The Treadmill Incident

Okay, so I am not sure why I am blogging about this. Perhaps because I found it so hillarious that I feel the need to share my somewhat humiliating story. As I was running the other day on my treadmill I hopped off to go open the door to the upstairs for Little GB. I had not yet even gone a mile and he was already done of trying to entertain himself in a somewhat small space. So I decided to let him go upstairs and roam while I hurried to bust out 3 1/2 miles. So...after letting him upstairs I attempted to do my usual hop back on to the treadmill....This time I did not hop so well. I even have pictures to prove it. :) I hoping that one of my raspberry scrathes will live a battle wound. I always love a good scar. Pfeiffer and I laugh about it and wish we could have gotten it on camera. Dang it, at least I will be able to replay the incident in my mind.... Will I attempt another hop on hop off? You better believe it!

First Timers

Well, we have decided that it is time...time to start a family blog in hopes of keeping our loved ones near and far up to date on the happenings in our lives. (like adding a blog will help, but we'll give it a go.) Although we try (try being the operative word) and keep in touch with everyone, our lives are are really hectic and crazy right now. We have decided to go with nick names in hopes of keeping some sort of privacy from the crazy world. We'll see if you can figure them out. We have Pfeiffer, Tweela, and Little GB (or as Pfeiffer likes to refer to him as Colonel Mustard, Monkey Man, Turd Burglar.)

Pfeiffer is busy with his jet setting ways, home improvement projects, mastering sprinkling systems, fatherhood and conquering new peaks every weekend. The mountains have become his second home this summer. I don't mind, he comes back a very happy camper and I can see the happiness and excitment conquering new peaks brings him. REI has become his favorite spot, I think he will soon be on a first name basis with the employees there. :)

Tweela is juggling the joys of motherhood, the angst of being a college student, and working part time. Even though my life is very busy right now, I am loving every minute of it. Both Pfeiffer and I play co-ed softball once a week. I played last summer two days a week, but with being gone two nights already because of school, I decided that playing on one team was enough for now. Pfeiffer and I have a great life!!

Little GB is growing up so fast!! Pfeiffer and I look at him as we believe that he will be two in October. It seems like it was only yesterday that we were still calling him Skittlez and awaiting his arrival. (albeit early)
I just took him for another hair cut and I think all of the baby was cut away because he looks so much older and like a big boy. He's learning new words every day and Pfeiffer and I are just amazed at what he can do. Of course we are biased, but he's a genius to us!! He loves being outside and loves following his Daddy wherever he goes. He loves pushing things, especially his little lawnmower and he loves playing with his bat and ball. He is such an awesome little guy!! We are so lucky and honored to be his parents.

We will attempt to post pictures often. Pfeiffer I am sure will have weekly peak pictures as we will need to post pictures of Little GB...
