I really do understand this fact, and yet I haven't made any great strides to rectify this imperfection. Maybe this upcoming year? Who knows. But I did have to dedicate a post to my Little GB, although he is not really that Little anymore. For goodness sakes my little man is now a 5 year old. I cannot believe that, and yet I have witnessed all of his birthdays and accomplishments and yep...He is five. He was super excited to be 5 because now he is the same age as his BFF Cooper and will be able to go to kindergarten next year. Right now he's in preschool and he loves it!! He is definitely an emerging reader and loves to practice his sight words. Just the other day while riding in the car he counted to 100 and to my surprise needed no help whatsoever!! He wanted another transformer cake/party. We went up to Idaho for the long weekend and my Sister was the best party thrower. She made him an ice cream cake that was almost bigger than he! He had a fantastic birthday and I think the best part of it all for him was being able to boss everyone around for the entire day, because of course HE WAS IN CHARGE!! Here are a few pics of my strapping 5 year old buddy!
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-fAC1bWQ0J7M/TqeJlVXoEzI/AAAAAAAAAaA/pALAf82eFI0/s320/DSC_0385.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5667649930553463602" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-IE8tRA7XZF4/TqeJvwSNb7I/AAAAAAAAAaM/N_xGwucrQFQ/s320/DSC_0366.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5667650109577195442" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-h5EdCV3i91U/TqeJ7pNoSXI/AAAAAAAAAaY/EvyUZrZ-plo/s320/DSC_0413.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5667650313837365618" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZMkyoBMP9Ng/TqeKGYBGr1I/AAAAAAAAAak/N7fnqUDcemA/s320/DSC_0368.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5667650498199990098" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-BdgHheVkaFI/TqeKZ_UE2jI/AAAAAAAAAa8/tXtmbjuhQL4/s320/DSC_0395.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5667650835166059058" />

Top of Utah!

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 113px; height: 150px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/TKAil4szPhI/AAAAAAAAAYg/BgXqRleuov8/s320/Dove+Promise.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5521451177427025426" />
Well I did it! I ran my 2nd marathon and had a blast. This time around was completely different. For my first race I was a stickler and didn't miss a training run, in fact I ran extra miles just for fun. By the end of training this time, my motivation factor had depleted and I was just ready to be done and do the race. I think that training in the summer had a lot to do with it. But nonetheless it was an incredible experience. I beat my previous time by 2-3 mintues and was pretty excited about that. My race day came exactly one year to the date that I was put on bedrest before so little S could stay nice and cozy in the shanty. :) ha ha. So that was exciting for me. My brother, Mac came up from California to run the race as well. He is my superhero! He ran three marathons this year! Yay Mac! He is awesome he ran an awesome race!! I had an awesome cheering crowd. We, my little family, my parents and Mac all went up to Logan the night before. Pfeiffer got the kids ready and they along with my parents cheered us on at various spots during the course! It was so fun to see them cheering me on!! I have the best family in the world!! I don't have many pictures this time, but my mom did snag a few with her fancy i-phone. :) When Mac got back to Cali his co-worker gave him the saying from a Dove Chocolate. And in all reality...it is true.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 113px; height: 150px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/TKAi4wHT6dI/AAAAAAAAAYo/Nvt2kieh6W4/s320/Finish.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5521451501539813842" />

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 113px; height: 150px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/TKAjJUS5IaI/AAAAAAAAAYw/AskOWE1NitQ/s320/Mac%27s+Finish.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5521451786129973666" />

Goodbye Summer, ol Friend!

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/TIP2RsaIaaI/AAAAAAAAAX4/nlTqcDPP9k8/s320/P1050620.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5513521152670591394" />
The temps have begun to cool. I see the big yellow school buses traveling along the streets. These are painful reminders that summer is over. Bring on the fall...I guess. My little GB will start "joy" school in a few days and my little S is soon to be 9 months old. Little GB has started playing soccer. He loves it. His coach calls him the Thumbs Up master. Everything Little GB does he turns and gives anyone who is watching a thumbs up! He loves playing soccer and is so excited about playing. He is a very methodical player and won't kick the ball just to kick it, he likes to think about where he is going to kick it. His dad thinks that he's going to grow up to be an Engineer. My Pennsylvania bestie told me that I am surrounding myself by Engineers. And I do believe she is right.
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/TIP2sLt0WGI/AAAAAAAAAYA/G6Lv9mxw83U/s320/P1050610.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5513521607751260258" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/TIP23EWbeCI/AAAAAAAAAYI/yPbLGHdznJM/s320/P1050642.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5513521794752673826" />

Little S is still well little. How little you ask? Well, let's just say that she can still sport her 0-3 month clothes, especially the tops just fine. :)Although I am not sure how she retains her girlish figure. She eats everything that isn't tied down almost! She gets really annoyed if she sees someone eating and she is not, even if she just barely had her own meal. She is still sporting 0 teeth but has mastered the roll over maneuver. She has figured out that she can get to certain things beyond her reach if she rolls. Ahh! Mobility!!
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/TIP3D4w5wTI/AAAAAAAAAYQ/UT5EF-S99vM/s320/P1050597.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5513522014980784434" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/TIP3Rq4L8BI/AAAAAAAAAYY/0IDtxZy6UNA/s320/P1050617.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5513522251771408402" />

As for me, I am preparing for my 2nd marathon that is coming up in a couple of weeks. I thought that once school was out and I was home every day that I would have all of this extra time...well that idea was false! So far we have had a very busy summer. I ran the Ragnar Relay race with some friends back in June, we went to Idaho for a week, stayed up in Park City for the weekend and now it is near the end of July. Sheesh..This summer is going by super fast. Little S is doing awesome. Her dr. called her petite. Not sure where she got that from. But she is 7 1/2 months and she is in the 50th percentile in height but barely, and I mean just barely on the charts for weight. But she is awesome! Little GB is sure enjoying his summer. He has had plenty of Cooper (his best friend/cousin) time and will be enjoying more Cooper time next week. His hair is turning blonde again and his skin brown. :) We got him a little pool and he loves swimming in it and any other pool. Enjoy some pics of our summer so far!
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; It is official! I am a college graduate. Whew! I know…people who go to school as long as I have are usually called doctors but it is all good. Little S is growing and growing. She has been on solids (well, can you really say that baby food is solid?) She likes the orange family of veggies much better than green. Next month is fruits. She is a hefty 11 lbs 9 oz and 24 inches long. Both she and Little GB were sick for about a week but have bounced back rather nicely. Little GB is still my little awesome guy. I think he is getting really excited for summer and all of the adventures that it will bring. Pfeiffer is currently over in Asia on a two week stint and will be home at the end of the week. I’m trying to get motivated to get my house deep/spring cleaned. After my 2 ½ week long subbing gig ended I subbed about 2 days a week. With school winding down I think I will be done for the school year. Whew…it seems like I have been in the school system all year. But all is well here! And as promised...here are pics! Enjoy!
PS...My little S is going bald, it's a little sad but she is still cute. One of Pfeiffer's MANY nicknames for her currently is Baldi-locks. hee hee. :)

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/TANBwxuELqI/AAAAAAAAAWA/A-Jt1MNnoXw/s320/P1040926.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5477293878048730786" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/TANDMRxF5LI/AAAAAAAAAWQ/XQrBiuS-6B8/s320/P1040920.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5477295450019456178" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/TANDoPeM2RI/AAAAAAAAAWY/6CNl5cpwqkI/s320/P1040772.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5477295930439686418" />

Where Oh Where has the time....gone?

Okay...sorry for the delay in posting. I have been super busy and my blog has taken a back seat. This post will not be very long as I am now substituting full time for a teacher in my school. (more to come on that later). But I wanted to post some pics so you all could see how fast my Little S and Little GB have grown. My Oh My! Little S is now 4 months and we go tomorrow for her 4 month check up. She is precious to me and I am so lucky to have her. Little GB is still honing his BEST BIG BROTHER IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD role and using as many band-aids as he can. He's awesome. Here are the pics...Enjoy!
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; I am excited to report that my Little S has started to pack on the pounds. My family took a poll to see who would be the closest with her weight at her 2 month check up. She hit the scales at a whopping 7 lbs 7 oz and measuring 20 1/2 inches long! Woo Hoo! Her Dad was actually the closes with a guess of 7 lbs 2 oz. She is officially out of preemie clothes! I took Little S to the doctor yesterday for her RSV shot and hit the scales at 8 lbs 3 oz and measured 21 1/2 inches long. Whew! I officially have an 8 lb baby...and it only took about 2 1/2 months. :) Overall Little S is doing awesome. She still barfs a lot, but she is sleeping rather well. On most nights I can get 5 hours straight so I guess she is sleeping throughout the night and has been since Feb. 5th. Woo Hoo. She is not yet smiling consistently, I think they are still a bit random. She is staying awake more during the day and still LOVES to cuddle! Here are a few pics of my little lady!
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/S4izptlkUpI/AAAAAAAAAT4/H0fEz4aHQHw/s200/P1040348.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5442797678870418066" /> <img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/S4iz3Fx3ynI/AAAAAAAAAUA/H6fS2yBGM8w/s320/P1040360.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5442797908702775922" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/S4i0ThtYGCI/AAAAAAAAAUI/Rmv6S2geC1A/s320/P1040367.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5442798397236451362" /><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/S4i0l8rbN6I/AAAAAAAAAUQ/WaoDuJ0OOY0/s320/P1040379.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5442798713713670050" />

My Favorite Time...So far!

Although, I do not have any pictures of this to post yet, my favorite time of the day with Little S is right after her bath. She really enjoys her baths, but is not so keen about the transition between the bath and getting out and dressed. But once she is dressed, she seems so alert and content with her surroundings. Her big blue, curious eyes are wide awake and she is just taking everything in. It seems like she has so much to tell me, if only I could understand. Sometimes I pretend she is telling me I'm doing fine. I just love it! Now don't get me wrong, I love every minute I have with her, this just happens to be among my favorites!!

Quick update. Little S is 6 weeks old. Her official due date came on Sunday (Jan 24)and she was still a little on the small side. I took her to the Dr. on Monday for a weight check and her Synagis shot (RSV prevention),she she hit the scales at 5 lbs 14oz and 19 3/4 inches long. She is now 1 lb heavier than when she made her debut into this world. Slowly but surely she is packing on those lbs! I'm definitely hoping for her to surpass the 6lb mark by her next visit, which isn't until Feb 15th so that gives her plenty of time.

Little GB is still loving his little sister with everything he has. Little S is now privledged enough to be considered a "Master." Did I mention he is now obsessed with Star Wars? I thank his dad every day for that one.

One Month!

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 196px; height: 200px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/S1IERyjYL-I/AAAAAAAAATg/IsUPe7JNQhM/s200/DSC_0116.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5427405204609314786" />

I can not believe that my Little S has been with us for a month already. But when I think about it, I can't even imagine how we lived without her. She has already made a place for herself in our little family and everyone of us loves her more than words can say. Little GB just loves loves loves her and is very protective of her. He is such a good helper where she is concerned, he's so willing to get her a diaper, binky, and kisses. Whatever she needs Little GB is on it. Oh what a wonderful BIG brother he is. I took Little S to the Dr. yesterday and she is a whopping 5 lbs 7 oz and 19 inches long. She is slowly but surely packing on the lbs and pretty soon I think she'll be able to wear regular clothes. She has two "big girl" outfits that she can fit into. Yay! My friend J came over the other day to help me take some pictures of her in hopes of making it onto a birth announcement. Little GB also went to the Dr. for his 3 year well child visit. He is a whopping 33 lbs (60th percentile) and is 38 3/4 inches tall (80th percentile) and according to his Dr. is built like a TANK! His head size, even though they don't measure anymore is off the chart. (which it has been pretty much since he was born. ha ha) Here are a few of the pics we took and of course my Little GB.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/S1ICRR-VE4I/AAAAAAAAATQ/oE-RupBXFpI/s320/DSC_0059.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5427402996840731522" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/S1IAhaK08cI/AAAAAAAAAS4/CtBReGO2M6U/s320/DSC_0059.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5427401074895286722" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/S1IBDJrYyYI/AAAAAAAAATA/no3h8pa9Pv0/s320/DSC_0074+-+Copy.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5427401654584002946" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/S1ICuQYJsQI/AAAAAAAAATY/Zz81L5LR5Rw/s320/Announcment+II.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5427403494628372738" />

My BEST Christmas present EVER!!

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/SzqOzyqr_wI/AAAAAAAAAR4/C4H-dA46kp8/s200/P1040185.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5420802121919102722" />
We had the best Christmas gift...we brought our little girl home! YAY!! I wasn't sure it was going to happen really. The dr. came in on Christmas Eve and told me we had a 75% chance of going home, but he didn't want to get my hopes up. He said he was going to put her back on the billirubin bed for the day just to get her billi levels down a bit more. We did that same thing with Little GB and it sort of set us back a few days...so I was thinking the same thing would happen with Little S. I came home on Christmas Eve to be with Little GB, since he is now aware of what Christmas is. We had a nice evening and we woke up to a phone call from the Dr. saying that he was comfortable enough to send her home. So we opened up presents with Griffen and let him play a little bit and then he went over to Grandma and Grandpa's house and away we went into the hospital to pick up our present! I was so excited. My (along with dozens of others) were answered!! It has been so nice to have my little family all under one roof. I took Little S to her regular pediatrician today and she is still on the little side. She weighs a whopping 4 lbs 9oz. So we are going to supplement her feedings even more. I was giving her a bottle with breast milk with formula added 2 times a day, now we are increasing that to 4 or 5 times a day to see if we can "bulk" her up. But all in all she is doing great!! Thank you to everyone for all of your well wishes, prayers, thoughts, emails, etc. We are truly blessed and know that we are being watched over and protected. This experienced has strengthened my faith quite a bit. This year Little GB really understood the whole concept of Christmas and our Christmas morning was full of excitement, smiles, and dreams come true. We had a very special visitor come over on Christmas Eve. Little GB wasn't quite sure what to do, his eyes were huge and he just stared at Santa. :) But he was really excited when Santa gave him new monkey "feety" pj's and a transformer car. Little GB had had a list of four items for about two months. I thought for sure he'd forget about a few things, but I underestimated him. He wanted Rocky the Robot Truck, Lightning McQueen Geo Tracks,a helicopter and a tractor. He must have a been a really good boy because he got everything on this list. He was so fun to watch his excitement. We were also able to share our Christmas morning with my brother Mac who was visiting from California. Here are some pictures...
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/SzqLjq9Y8uI/AAAAAAAAARI/gjK9VWi1Vlg/s200/P1040134.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5420798546437272290" /> <img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/SzqL13HmLJI/AAAAAAAAARQ/fPFg9e-jhO8/s200/P1040149.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5420798858938952850" /> <img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/SzqMJ7kui4I/AAAAAAAAARY/P2d-NSk8JpY/s200/P1040159.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5420799203732261762" /> <img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/SzqMgeuTz1I/AAAAAAAAARg/FUW7-pDD-E0/s200/P1040146.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5420799591124815698" /> <img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/SzqMt5T1INI/AAAAAAAAARo/RT-U0k-1Nc8/s200/P1040162.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5420799821599809746" /> <img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/SzqM7QA6lMI/AAAAAAAAARw/3lkaUnbhE8c/s200/P1040160.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5420800051032790210" />

Little S and Little GB

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/SyvvW1CXyHI/AAAAAAAAAPw/ltZlWNpZ8V4/s200/Cutest+Beanie+Ever+II.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5416686152316340338" />
As promised, here are a few more pics of Little S as well as some of my Little GB. He is being quite the trooper. I think that he's getting more accepting of the factthat little sister is here. I can't wait until he can meet her and hold her. I am so thankful to have such wonderful children! (I'm still getting used to saying children instead of child). I was able to feed her twice. She was awesome! She still had to get a little nose tube to supplement her feedings for now until she can eat on a regular basis and get enough. The dr's and nurses, and of course me are so amazed with how well she is doing! I hope that she continues on this path so that her big brother can finally meet her. Little S She was born on December 14, 2009 at 4:09 am. She weighed in at a whopping 4 lbs 14 oz and was 18.5 inches long. So far she is doing really well. She is breathing on her own and is just resting and trying to continue her growing. She came into the world at 34 weeks and 1 day gestationaly age, she stayed in one day longer than Little GB. Here one picture that I took with my camera phone...not the best but for now you can have a little peek...will post more pics soon!

Home Again Home Again Jiggity Jig...

As Dorothy once said..."There's no place like home. There's no place like home. There's no place like home!" I would have to agree with her. I busted out of the hospital on Monday and boy was I ever grateful! My own bed never felt so good. One of the high risk doctors came in on Monday and said he didn't really see a reason to keep me, so I was to go home and resume my bed resting at home. So for now that is what I will be doing. I went to my regular doctor yesterday and she said that everything still looked ok. I am currently dialated to a 1+ and have been so for a few weeks now. I just need to keep taking it easy and staying down as much as possible to keep gravity at bay. I think that gravity is my sad, short, untoned, cervix' kryptonite. hee hee. But hopefully with more rest and anti-gravity positions Lem Lem will stay put for a while longer!

On a little side note.. Sunday my parents came in and I went down to the lobby to visit Little GB. Oh how I had missed my little man. I was so happy to have just a few minutes with him. I'm not sure how he felt about the whole thing, but I was sure happy. My dad brought me up an envelope and in it were letters from my first grade class. It was so cute. My teacher, Mrs. C had the class do interactive writing and write a class letter and then each student wrote one on their own. It was the cutest thing ever. They made a list of some girl names that I could use. Some from memory: Cutie, Mariposa, Lulu, Sarah. They were amazing. I miss my cute little first graders!

I really appreciate everyone's well wishes and concerns. Words can't say enough how loved me (and my little family) feel. I have been blessed beyond words.

Keeping It Interesting...

So..quick post. I am posting this post from my hospital bed at Intermountain Medical Center. No worries, Lem Lem is still where she needs to be. A quick little recap. I had an appointment with my preterm doctors on Fri. He did his exam and found what my regular doctor had found but wanted to do a Non Stress Test on the baby and start a 2 shot regime of steroid's just in case and to help little Lem Lem's lungs develop faster. So he sent me over to the NST and they found I was having contractions, although they were oblivious to me. But I was having them about 1-2 minutes apart but they were small and to me non-existent. So I was sent down to Labor and Delivery to be put on monitors and medication to stop the contractions. After being in L & D for a day they were able to subside the contractions enough to take me off the monitors and send me up the post-partem wing where I am just doing the bed rest thing and missing my little man. The plan (hopefully)will be to go home either tomorrow, but more than likely on Monday after the hospital docs confer with my high risk doc and regular doc. Due to the h1-n1 ordeal no one under 14 is allowed to come into the hospital :( So when I found out I was being admitted, needless to say the tears came. Not so much because I was worried about Lem Lem, I knew she was okay, but I just left Little GB thinking I'd see him in about 45-hour. But I know that he's in good hands with his Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Jedders and family. Again my family is such a huge blessing and to me they are the greatest family in the world. Jed and my Dad came in today and gave me a very comforting and reassuring blessing. So that is my current scoop. I'll post more details when I get them. But just one question, why do they bring hosptial dinner at 4:30? I mean yes, I'm old but that does seem a bit earlier does it not? Oh well...all is well!

Halloween+Candy=VERY happy Little GB

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/Su3P17OuyII/AAAAAAAAAMA/9iHZCC-nf2Y/s320/P1040047.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5399200053626587266" />
I think we might have to buy some stock in Crest or Colgate for a very long time! Little GB scored enough candy during his Trunk or Treating and regular Trick or Treating to keep our little family stocked with candy for a few years!! I don't think he's complaining though. I was unable to actually participate in the Trick or Treating, but my family and of course Pfieffer stepped up to help my little man get lots of treats!! Little GB LOVED his costume, getting his blisters (that is how he said whiskers) painted on, carving pumpkins (his is the ghost), and saying Trick or Treat. Pfieffer told me that after he received candy and said his thank you's, his reponse would be, "Alright! That's my favorite candy!." I told him we had to wait for his little party that we were going to have later, but he managed to sneak in a few presents throughout the day. <img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/SuE1x7hCxBI/AAAAAAAAAK8/Jp6NuI1nJxQ/s320/P1030866.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5395652960472712210" /> He felt special the whole day and pretty much grinned from ear to ear. He kept on telling me that it was his birthday and that he was now 3 years old. We just had a little family party and had dinner at McDonald’s and he was in heaven. After eating and playing we all came back to my house and had cake and ice cream and opened up presents. His cousin, Camden’s, birthday is the day after so we split a cake…I think Pfeiffer was excited to see what Little GB picked. <img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/SuE0OyB0KqI/AAAAAAAAAKk/ShcaI0VLkko/s320/P1030915.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5395651257118763682" /> I personally think it was more for the color than what it actually was. I just can’t believe that he’s three years old already. For a little recap of our Little GB:
He knows his birthday is October 21
He can spell his name
His favorite color is Red
He loves playing legos (or anything) with his Dad
Every time he sees a flag he says “Look there is a Grand Ol’ Flag” and then has to sing the song
He loves planes
He likes to read books
His favorite food (besides candy and chips) would probably be pizza
He LOVES to sing pretty much anything!!
So there is a little recap of my favorite little man!! Words can't even begin to state how much he is loved!!
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/SuE2JH3d3nI/AAAAAAAAALE/RzXM2QWWyAk/s320/P1030903.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5395653358924979826" /> <img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/SuE2joktigI/AAAAAAAAALM/GOKFbTUZY_8/s320/P1030901.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5395653814381283842" /><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/SuE28qHxgbI/AAAAAAAAALU/OYnAlr5u0Uc/s320/P1030913.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5395654244293509554" />

Our first signs of pink....

Okay, so onto a much happier (and shorter) post. My new life of pink and girly items have begun. Thanks to my friends, M and J as well as my mom and sister, my collection of things girly, pink, and super cute have only just begun. My mom and Little GB bought us our first official pink item. It is a cute pink bib. My friend J (who is going to bring out every bit of girl in me) gave us these cute headbands that have attachable flowers. I love them, I can't wait to see little Lem Lem with these on her head! (Hopefully she will be blessed with as much hair as Little GB was) My friend M gave me this really cute and uber soft blanket that Lem Lem might just have to fight me for!! (Okay, I will totally share with her). My sister made us this cute hooded towel with the pink whales...I think I have the best friends and family in the whole world. My friend J-Dawg who lives quite far away has supplied me with almost daily little pick-me-ups. Thanks J-Dawg. Here are some picks of our new pink/girly items.
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/Ss1YLBM26RI/AAAAAAAAAKE/e1TLsFbh1qs/s320/P1030738.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5390061275356522770" /> <img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/Ss1YVTMJslI/AAAAAAAAAKM/-or8nSqMabs/s320/P1030739.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5390061451984089682" />

And I guess I will have to throw in some of little GB, just because I want too. :) Oh and also a little video of him showing off his cute self. :)
<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/get_player" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"width="320" height="266" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"flashvars="flvurl=http://v24.nonxt2.googlevideo.com/videoplayback?id%3Ddb1ab01eadd3ee7b%26itag%3D5%26app%3Dblogger%26ip%3D0.0.0.0%26ipbits%3D0%26expire%3D1330046889%26sparams%3Did,itag,ip,ipbits,expire%26signature%3D228D387802AC7D2EFEEBD11F585336482E5DEA4.4AAA91660B2D0C66308002A2502D1927660AEB1D%26key%3Dck1&iurl=http://video.google.com/ThumbnailServer2?app%3Dblogger%26contentid%3Ddb1ab01eadd3ee7b%26offsetms%3D5000%26itag%3Dw160%26sigh%3DwV5aBwbDMA7H-wl_ZWhk-6tjHag&autoplay=0&ps=blogger"allowFullScreen="true" />

Never A Dull Moment

I think ol’ Murphy’s Law came into play last week here with our little family. All three of us were seen by someone in the medical profession. Here is a recap of our not so good week.
Wed: I went to my regular OB doctor. She had received word about my situation and wanted to check things out for herself. She agreed with doctor’s orders and seconded the notion of placing yours truly on bed rest. She told me I should take up needle point to kill some time. Ha ha. That doesn’t sound like me at all right? Upon arrival to pick up Little GB from my brother’s house I came home to find him crying and covered in vomit. He was getting down off of the trampoline and instead of using the chair that was there he wanted to get down the big-boy way. He somehow managed to lose his balance and fell. My brother said that he did not land hard so we didn’t really think anything of it. When Little GB gets hurt, he sort of gets mad. I wasn’t sure if he had vomited because he was so worked up or if it was more serious. So my mom got him cleaned up and I settled him down and just held him for awhile. He fell asleep and I just held him. When he woke up he was a little playful, but wanted to be held and kind of lethargic. For the rest of the day he just wanted to be held, until around 4:30 when he started to complain that his head hurt. My mom didn’t have any medicine so we went to the store to get some and while my mom was in the store Little GB threw up again. I (Pfeiffer had gone to Elko, NV on Monday for work and wasn’t supposed to be home until late Wed night.) decided that it was time to take him to the doctor. His doctor said that it looked like a concussion but didn’t have any equipment for x-rays and such so she sent us over to the ER. Little GB was such a trooper and big boy. The ER doc was nice and they took some pictures (a CT) of his head. My dad took him for the test, because me being prego couldn’t go back. All of the nurses were amazed; I guess they usually have to strap the little ones down, but not my big boy. By this time Little GB had medicine in him and was almost as good as new. The ER doc came back and said that he didn’t really look at children’s cat scans all that much and to him it looked like there was a little bit of bleeding on his brain and that it was to Primary Children’s Medical Center that we must go for a 2nd opinion, well no a 3rd opinion at this point. So an ambulance was called, a neck collar was worn and Little GB and mom went for a 40 minute drive into SLC to the children's hospital. Little GB was so brave; he thought it was cool when they sounded the sirens. After being there for a few hours the team of doctors agreed that Little GB did have a slight concussion, but there was no bleeding on the brain. Whew!! Pfeiffer arrived at the hospital shortly after we got a clean bill of health. Poor Pfeiffer had to drive nearly 200 miles to get to us and by the time he had gotten to us his mind was in over drive. By the time it was ready to go Little GB was ready to go home and was trying to get into everything. Thursday we took it easy and kept him medicated and he was pretty much as good as new by Friday. It was a long day to say the least!! But we had many prayers said in our behalf and for that we are thankful. My parents had driven in to the hospital and my brother Jed also came up. As I have said before, I have the best family ever!!
Pfeiffer did not escape the medical profession either. He hiked Lone Peak with his buddy Rich and on their decent he took a spill and ended up cutting his leg pretty bad. Stitches were in order and he came home with a whopping 7 stitches and his muscle stuck back into his leg. His leg looks pretty awesome with the stitches and the big bruise.
So all I can say is whew!! And thank goodness for medical insurance!! Here are a few pictures of our tumultuous week! (The pics were taken at a later date, as you can tell that they are taken at our house.) Little GB still likes to play with them. The one we refer to as darth vadar.
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/Ssa7WbIXM_I/AAAAAAAAAJU/yoae1ibZkKg/s320/P1030647.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388199998109725682" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/Ssa7j_uN6KI/AAAAAAAAAJc/xhKWF7Y1gAk/s320/P1030648.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388200231270475938" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/Ssa704urw-I/AAAAAAAAAJk/VM3VQ5Mtt3k/s320/P1030646.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388200521451160546" />

A Little Snafu

Well....we have encountered a little snafu in the our little game plan. As stated in my previous blog I am involved in a pre-term study to see if they can find reasons that might trigger preterm babies. With the study comes a little tighter observation than that of a standard pregnancy. Well, as of Friday afternoon I have been placed on bed rest. I guess things are progressing a little faster than they would like so for now I am being planted upon flat surfaces. My student teaching, which was going so well, has been placed on hold and we are checking with Utah State to see what my options are. I am keeping my fingers crossed that this might be only temporary. The dr. said that it could be if my numbers and my weeks of pregnancy catch up to each other. So we are keeping our fingers crossed that they do. But little Lem Lem seems to be doing just great, despite the fact that her termporary living situations are comparable to that of shanty (that is how Pfeiffer refers to my "house"). But she is active and looks great! I have another dr. appointment on Friday and hopefully I will be reporting better news. But for now..all is well. We are all healthy and happy!! :)

Time for Expansion

Well, as many of you may already know, our little family of 3 will be expanding in a few months to a family of four. Although in little GB's mind the baby is going to be both brother and sister, our ultrasound proved differently this week. Our numbers will be even with the addition of a little sister. Little GB along with Grandma went right out and bought our first pink item...a bib. He had to hang it on my belly as soon as I saw him. :) No names have been decided on, that will take awhile for us to agree on one. For the mean time we are going to call her Lem Lem. Along the same lines of Little GB being called Skittlez, Lem Lem is Little GB's way of saying M & M's.

To help avoid another preterm baby I have begun a weekly shot regime to help keep my "house" for the little one a little bit more hospitable. I am also involved in a pre-term study that will help monitor us a little more in depth than just the standard/routine care. I have been instructed to take it easy so no more excercising for me for the moment. That will be difficult, but it's temporary and it's not really about me so I will follow doctor's order to ensure Lem Lem's health and safety. So we'll keep our fingers crossed that all goes well.

I am well into my student teaching. Let me tell you this...first grade is HARD. Especially at the beginning of the year. It's hard, but definitely worth it and very rewarding. I have been placed with an excellent teacher and I'm enjoying my time. I have four more weeks of first grade and then I will start in 4th grade. Although I miss my Little GB very much, I feel better that he's in excellent care with his Grandma!

As for Pfeiffer...he just got back from a two week stint to Singapore, Tawain, and China. We missed him very much and are very glad he's back. He already has a hike planned for next weekend.

I will include pics in my next post!

Big Boys-Binkies-and Bikes

Well...summer is almost officially done. All I can say is where has it gone? We have had a lot of fun this summer and our little GB, it seems, has changed overnight. He officially decided wearing big boy underwear was more exciting, so he gave up his diapers. Wow is all I can say!! Next he decided that he wanted a big boy bike (see picture) so he gave up his binkies and traded them for his rocket bike! He went down to the store and picked out his Rock It bike all by himself. It amazes me that he is not even 3 years old yet. Sometimes I have to remind myself that he is only 2 ½. <img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/SnuvAGGhPQI/AAAAAAAAAIw/INWuULKddtw/s320/Helmet.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5367075797114895618" /> <img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/Snuva7idulI/AAAAAAAAAI4/j_O-jDITyC4/s320/Dad+and+Rock+It.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5367076258135784018" />
I have enjoyed my school free summer. It took me a few weeks to realize that I didn’t have to do homework every night. I must say that I have thoroughly enjoyed it. My student teaching will start in about two weeks. I am both dreading it and excited for it. Dreading it because I don’t want to have to leave little GB every day, but excited to be one step closer to being done! Yay me!!
Pfeiffer has been quite the mountain man. He has conquered many a mountain peak this summer. He has even acquired a few new hiking buddies. He has the goal of hitting all of the high peaks in every county in Utah, he’s done quite well. He has also hiked most of the peaks along the Wasatch. Good Job Pfeiffer! You’re quite the hiker. Little GB always asks him when is it his turn to go on the mountain. I think the two of them will be quite the hiking buddies!
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/SnuvtySHWyI/AAAAAAAAAJA/gQ2NfrjjWHo/s320/mountain+Griff.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5367076582068804386" />
On a sad note..We did lose a family member this summer. Pfeiffer decided that it was time to upgrade Gus (his 1999 F-150). He no longer wanted to be a 4wd mooch, so he traded in Gus for a 2009 Ford Escape. Although Gus has been with us for our entire marriage, it was time to trade him in. I have yet to come up with a new name for his new vehicle. These sorts of things can’t be rushed.
Okay…sorry for the long, but way over due post. I think I did state in the beginning that I am not a very good journal/blog keeper. But at least you get little snip-its here and there.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/Snuv7o06A1I/AAAAAAAAAJI/X3KG112K1_w/s320/Utah+Man.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5367076820048544594" />

Marathon Memories

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/SfyL1IjB3PI/AAAAAAAAAG4/1GRFiAxv-_g/s320/My+Peeps!!.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5331289803843558642" />
Well, I did it! I ran my first marathon on April 18, 2009. And yes, I am still very much alive and very much still running. I thought my first marathon experience was awesome! I ran the first 4 miles with my friend Stacie and then the last 21 ½ I was solo. My wonderful husband found me when I had just a half of mile to go. He helped me finish my race. He was so great; he encouraged me to push it and run faster and helped me to a sprinting finish!! My official time: 3:57.03. Yay! Going into it I did not really set a goal for myself, but I am very pleased with my efforts. My brother Mac came in from California and he and Pfeiffer ran the ½ marathon. Both of those guys did awesome too!! <img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/SfyaYvYExDI/AAAAAAAAAHg/iPnA9H778q0/s320/GB,+Mac+%26+Dad+post+race.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5331305808724804658" /> My sister came down from Boise to help support. She, my mom and Little GB found me during my run 4-5 times to cheer me on and give me little extra boosts. Mac had sign made (see pics) and they would hold it up and Ann would yell “Keep going keep going” (which is a little joke from when we were young.) My brother Jed was working as an EMT in SLC that day and he spotted me a couple of times and the pictures are courtesy of him. (and my sister in law Bella) Thanks Jedders and Bella! I stripped my fuel belt at about mile 23 and gave it to him! Whew it was nice to be rid of that thing.<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/SfyZrl69ioI/AAAAAAAAAHQ/rcURAm5D0iQ/s320/DSC_0009.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5331305033092663938" /> My finishline support was so incredible. My parents, husband, sister, son, brother, sister –in-law and family where there to cheer me on! I could hear them yelling and it helped! I could not have completed this milestone without their support! I have the greatest family in the whole world!! Everyone helped, from my Dad getting up at the butt-crack of dawn to give us runners a ride to the starting line, to my brother’s sign, my sister’s cheering, to my J-Dawg’s awesome running mix, and to my mom watching little GB while I trained! They are so awesome! I am truly blessed. Here are a few pictures for your enjoyment! Thanks again guys! I love you all!
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; Words cannot express how excited and relaxed it feels to have a break!! I will start my practicum (a mini internship is what I like to call it) next week. I will spend the next five weeks in first grade. I am looking forward to it.
Little GB and I are off to Idaho tomorrow for the rest of week. He's so excited to see his cousins, especially Cooper. He just loves him. He and Cooper talk on the phone quite a bit and their conversations are pretty hilarious.
Pfeiffer was supposed to be in Pennsylvania this week but after two consecutive days of trying to leave SLC airport his efforts proved unsuccessful, so he'll have to reschedule his trip.
Pfeiffer has decided that he's going to run the SLC half while I run the whole. So he has been helping me with my long runs. Last Saturday he helped me log 22 miles. Whew, that was the longest I have ever run and couldn't have done it without his help. So thanks again Pfeiffer!!
Little GB loves his beanie and puts it on whenever he can find it. So here are a few updated pics of my favorite little man!! <img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/Sbf_Ix1HH8I/AAAAAAAAAGQ/_Zho9FsBphs/s320/hey.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5311994811786928066" /> <img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/Sbf_RoUH_PI/AAAAAAAAAGY/jsSfj8iYmxM/s320/cool+dude+beanie.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5311994963851476210" /><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/Sbf_iJbzDfI/AAAAAAAAAGg/BMd7O_fO9DE/s320/hmmm+I%27m+thinking+about+it.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5311995247619935730" />

Gone...but not forgotten

Okay, this blog is dedicated to all of my awesome friends and family who may feel a little neglected by yours truly. Life is crazy busy right now, but please know that I am so grateful to all of your for your love and support. My weeks just fly by and I am not sure where all of my time goes. Okay I do know where it goes, its a mix between long days at school, homework, work stuff, and not to mention for some sick reason I have decided to attempt my first full marathon. Yeah, probably not the best idea, but running helps to keep me sane. Little GB is hanging in there, I cherish every little minute I get to spend with him. Pfieffer is also doing great, he's a great support system. Sometimes he gets the brunt of my long days, but he's a trooper. Both of my guys are. I love them both.

Pfeiffer and I just celebrated our 9th anniversary! Woo Hoo for us. We had a little get away for a night. We went to a climbing gym. It was the first time for me and I loved it. It was followed by some delicious tacos and we grabbed a piece of cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory on the way to Little America where we spent the night. We woke up and partook of their yummy, delicious, fantastic brunch and then home to our little guy. It was a great time. I can't believe that it's 9 years already. Wow.

This is quite the boring entry, sorry no pics, but I wanted to just let you all know that even thought I'm MIA and out of touch lately you are all still in my thoughts and prayers!! Thanks for your continual support. Hopefully I'll get some pics posted soon. Little GB had his first buzz cut the other day, I must say...AWESOME!!

2009 Here We Come

Okay, so it's quite obvious that I have been quite the blog slacker as of late. It seems like we have been on the go for the last couple of months and much to my dismay, it doesn't really seem that we are going to slow down anytime soon.

Little GB loved his time as Monkey for Halloween. He loved getting his pumpkin full of candy. He had a very hard time letting go of the pumpkin at the end of the day. He perfected the art of saying "thank you," we'll work on Trick or treat for next year.<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/SWQ_GTkFcWI/AAAAAAAAAGA/3AeLuJ-XRV0/s320/P1010680.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5288421240003195234" />

We were able to take a few trips as a family. In October we went down to Goblin Valley State Park and to Capital Reef. It was really fun, Little GB loved being in the outdoors and looks to be taking after his Dad in regards to love being on a mountain. In November and December we took a little trip to Idaho to spend sometime with my sister and her family. Christmas found the three of us in the frigid tundra that most people call Ohio. <img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/SWQ7GMzJgFI/AAAAAAAAAFY/zC-a6fkKEwk/s320/P1010419.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5288416840140816466" /> <img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/SWQ9XAsFw7I/AAAAAAAAAFg/fGDYJ6Wsr3k/s320/P1010445.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5288419327971017650" /> <img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/SWQ9xbu3RaI/AAAAAAAAAFo/YN-PHA69GEw/s320/P1010420.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5288419781907006882" />

Little GB had a good time visiting with his Ohio grandparents and flying on the "airpane" (which I must say he did fantastic), but he was ready to come home and be at his house with his things and is bed. He has turned into our little mimic and chatter box. He loves to talk and he'll tell you whatever is on his mind. He has figured out how to throw tantrums, but he is quick to forgive and move on. Everyday he does something new and he just amazes his parents on a daily basis.

As for Pfieffer he has been busy with work and fitting in show-shoeing excursions whenever possible and weather permitting.

I have been busy with my usual stuff, motherhood, school, work and all of the little things that life throws at you. I so enjoyed my winter break from school and I think that I am in denial that it is over. But the sooner we get it started, the sooner it can be over. The thought that I kept me going is that by this time next year I'll be officially done! Yay for me.

I hope that you all had a very Mery Christmas and Joyous New Year!  I hope to be a better blogger in the new year!! <img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/SWQ-E_aHWBI/AAAAAAAAAFw/vH2uCk8uAkw/s320/P1010776.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5288420117901170706" /> <img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/SWQ-VAITwYI/AAAAAAAAAF4/_G079V1wmyw/s320/P1010777.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5288420392972829058" />

I blinked...And then he was 2!

So our little GB hit the big #2 on Tuesday. All I can say or ask myself, is where have the last two years gone? Pfeiffer and I were just reminiscing on the past two years and how fast time has gone. It just seems like yesterday we were hanging out in the hospital waiting for the go ahead to go home. I must say though, being little GB's mom is the greatest honor that I could have asked for. He truly is amazing to me.

To celebrate his big day, Grandma Carolee took him to McDonald's for lunch. Little GB truly loves his Grandma. Every morning when she comes and picks him he just gets the biggest smile on his face. Sometimes I have to bribe him to do something I want him to do by saying that Grandma will be here to take you bye bye. As soon as he hears her name he jumps up and says: Grandma, bye bye? He loves spending time with her. I am thankful for the relationship that he has with her. <img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/SQK0eUVA5FI/AAAAAAAAAEY/yclzPfQyX6U/s320/P1010608.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5260965747668083794" /> (Griffen and his Grandma Carolee)

Later in the evening we had a little family party with pizza, ice-cream sandwich cake and cupcakes. Little GB loves being around his cousins and had a great time. He loved being the center of attention and having everyone watch him open his presents. He quickly got the hang of opening them. He got some awesome presents! We are truly blessed to have such wonderful family and friends!!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/SQK01cteBxI/AAAAAAAAAEg/-Sm3T4_KEL4/s320/P1010615.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5260966145055131410" /> (His ice cream sandwich cake. Although he does not enjoy the travel part of his job, little GB and I certainly do appreciate his hard work and sacrifice for our family. I got word that Pfeifferhorn made it through his first typhoon. He said that majority of it did not fall where he is currently staying.

Little GB enjoyed spending the weekend with his Idaho cousins. He played extremely well well with everyone and he did not even need anytime to warm up to his buddies. His biggest problem was when mom would make him go to sleep. I'll post some pics of his time up in Boise when I get them.

Here are few random pictures I have taken in the last couple of days. I took a really cute picture of little GB really dirty. As much as it pains me to post it, (because I hate dirty.) he still looks prety cute. :)

I hope this blog finds you all well and happy and that your week is going smoothly.

Thanks again Pfeifferhorn for your hard work. I was able to enjoy some extremely ENJOYABLE time off for a few weeks before fall semester started. I am now starting into my 3rd week and from here on out I’m going to be one very busy lady. I am official in the level II of the education program. A requirement for this level is to be in the elementary school 3 full days a week, plus class at night. So my weeks are pretty full, I am still working in at Wells Fargo bank two days as week, going to school two nights a week from 4:30-9:00, one on-line class, and my classroom requirement. I am feeling a bit of anxiety leaving little GB that much!! I am not sure I could do it, if I didn’t have the help from my family. Little GB loves going to Grandma and Grandpa’s house. He’s got them both wrapped around his finger, especially Grandpa’s. They are so cute together. I have the greatest family on earth. I just keep telling myself that I am near the finish line I just need to keep my head down and plow through it. Graduation is just 2 semesters (after this one) away. I know that finishing my degree is something that I need to do and my family will benefit from it. It will be rewarding when Little GB can say that both of his parents are college graduates! Yeah, that’s a nice thought. Speaking of Little GB. He had his first official wipeout on his bike yesterday. He did a number on his face. One of my friends asked “What happened to Little GB’s face? The treadmill?” Hee hee. I thought that was pretty funny. But nope no treadmill for him, just a nice dose of cement pie. He took it like a trooper though. He only cried for a few minutes. It didn’t look too bad, but after sleeping on it for a night it scabbed up pretty good. Here are a few pics: You might be wondering about the bandaid...well I think we are entering into the bandaid phase. He did not need a bandaid whatsoever, but I think having one on made him feel a bit better. Here is one of my favorite pictures of late. Little GB loves shoes, it doesn't matter if they are mine or his Dad's. Here are a few of him trying to get around in mine.
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/SMS1aHwyhTI/AAAAAAAAADQ/4JOHmrxTPow/s200/P1010103.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5243515326531011890" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/SMS1_4gZ3DI/AAAAAAAAADY/JRYFmWl49Pk/s200/P1010102.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5243515975270784050" />

Idaho in August

Where oh where has my summer gone? I can not believe that September is lurking just around the corner. I am in denial that our summer is winding down at a very rapid pace. We all have had a busy summer. It has been filled with school, work, running, hiking, swimming, baseball games, walks, trips to the park, and our favorite: family time. My sister Ann's daughter, Peyton was baptized so we were able to venture on up to Idaho and enjoy some quality family time. My parents and brother Jed and his family also went up. Little GB was in heaven. He had so much fun playing with all of his cousins. He usually just tagged along and tried to keep up. He especially enjoyed playing with his little cousin Coop. Coop was extremely patient in sharing his toys and trying to teach little GB to share. They both had a great time. They are going to be best buddies for sure! From sun up to sun down little GB was on the go. There was so much to experience. Whether it was jumping on the trampoline, riding Coop's scooter, taking trips to the park, playing wiffle ball, hanging out on the 4 wheeler, nap times and meal times were somewhat of a nuisance. This picture is one of little GB's favorite things of Coops: <img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_8dO0TXQv5lk/SKj5fntNEmI/AAAAAAAAAB4/fGON2yiijSc/s200/P1000700.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5235708888448045666" />
It was such a great time had by all! We need to figure out a way to live closer to one another. Perhaps because I found it so hillarious that I feel the need to share my somewhat humiliating story. As I was running the other day on my treadmill I hopped off to go open the door to the upstairs for Little GB. I had not yet even gone a mile and he was already done of trying to entertain himself in a somewhat small space. So I decided to let him go upstairs and roam while I hurried to bust out 3 1/2 miles. So...after letting him upstairs I attempted to do my usual hop back on to the treadmill....This time I did not hop so well. I even have pictures to prove it. :) I hoping that one of my raspberry scrathes will live a battle wound. I always love a good scar. Pfeiffer and I laugh about it and wish we could have gotten it on camera. Dang it, at least I will be able to replay the incident in my mind.... Will I attempt another hop on hop off? You better believe it!

First Timers

Well, we have decided that it is time...time to start a family blog in hopes of keeping our loved ones near and far up to date on the happenings in our lives. (like adding a blog will help, but we'll give it a go.) Although we try (try being the operative word) and keep in touch with everyone, our lives are are really hectic and crazy right now. We have decided to go with nick names in hopes of keeping some sort of privacy from the crazy world. We'll see if you can figure them out. We have Pfeiffer, Tweela, and Little GB (or as Pfeiffer likes to refer to him as Colonel Mustard, Monkey Man, Turd Burglar.)

Pfeiffer is busy with his jet setting ways, home improvement projects, mastering sprinkling systems, fatherhood and conquering new peaks every weekend. The mountains have become his second home this summer. I don't mind, he comes back a very happy camper and I can see the happiness and excitment conquering new peaks brings him. REI has become his favorite spot, I think he will soon be on a first name basis with the employees there. :)

Tweela is juggling the joys of motherhood, the angst of being a college student, and working part time. Even though my life is very busy right now, I am loving every minute of it. Both Pfeiffer and I play co-ed softball once a week. I played last summer two days a week, but with being gone two nights already because of school, I decided that playing on one team was enough for now. Pfeiffer and I have a great life!!

Little GB is growing up so fast!! Pfeiffer and I look at him as we believe that he will be two in October. It seems like it was only yesterday that we were still calling him Skittlez and awaiting his arrival. (albeit early)
I just took him for another hair cut and I think all of the baby was cut away because he looks so much older and like a big boy. He's learning new words every day and Pfeiffer and I are just amazed at what he can do. Of course we are biased, but he's a genius to us!! He loves being outside and loves following his Daddy wherever he goes. He loves pushing things, especially his little lawnmower and he loves playing with his bat and ball. He is such an awesome little guy!! We are so lucky and honored to be his parents.

We will attempt to post pictures often. Pfeiffer I am sure will have weekly peak pictures as we will need to post pictures of Little GB...
